- Brief Description: PreHSE - Course covers reading and writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. Written at a 6-8 level for students who are not quite ready for the GED level. All four content areas for the GED test are addressed and required skills for each are developed by engaging, highly instructional course content. GED - Course covers reasoning through language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. This is for students who are at a 9th grade reading level or higher and are studying for the GED exam. Skills developed cover all four content areas with an emphasis on test preparation, critical thinking skills and targeted instruction.
- Proxy Hour Equivalent: Clocktime, as per timeout setting provided by publisher; multiply the amount of clocktime recorded by 1.25, to account for teacher coordination with learner, and round to nearest quarter hour.

(GED TABE 11/12): Reading 567+; Math 566+, Language 560+. (GED CASAS Reading Goals) 239+. (CASAS) Reading and math 236+. **TABE testing is recommended but not required for this program. New Readers Press Online Learning has maximum flexibility - depending on how a student CASAS/TABE tests they can be placed in either PreHSE or GED Test Prep.
